I'm Stephanie Kirk, a middle school visual arts teacher, graphic designer, and graduate student in Educational Learning Technologies at NMSU Global. Welcome to Pixels N Praxis, where creativity meets critical pedagogy.
My Story
With over a decade of teaching experience spanning elementary art, first and third grade general education, and now middle school visual arts, I have taught across multiple grade levels, demographics, and contexts.
My journey as an educator has taken me from babysitting and daycare through elementary classrooms and into the world of middle school art, a placement I never requested but have come to embrace as exactly where I am needed.
I hold a BFA in Graphic Design and am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Educational Learning Technologies at New Mexico State University Global. My work sits at the intersection of visual art, instructional design, and critical pedagogy, always asking not just 'does this work?' but 'who does it serve and who does it leave out?'
